Cooking Class in Ubud Bali

We offer you a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the true flavors of Balinese, Indonesian or Asian food. The cooking class includes an early morning trip to the local fresh fruit and vegetables market. the market will introduce you to the abundance of tropical fruits, vegetables and spices available to the locals all the year round, as well as giving you an insight into Balinese life and cultures.

Our concept is private, so these classes will be held in the kitchen area in the living room inside your private Villa. After all the food is prepared and cooked , the best part of the day is still to come,.....Yes you get to eat the dishes you have created and your butler will serve you fresh young coconut water with squeeze of lime along with your meals. After you successfully finished your cooking class, you will receive a certificate from our Chef.

If you would like to learn to cook a favorite dish that does not appear on our menus please ask to speak with our Executive Chef, for sure if we have or can get the ingredients we would be delighted to assist you.

  • Lawar kacang ( Long beans salad with minced chicken, grated coconut, Balinese spices )
  • Jukut Gedang Mekuah ( Young papaya soup with chicken dumpling )
  • Pepes Be Pasih ( Grlled fish wrapped in banana leaves with tomato, lemon basil and spices )
  • Bubuh Injin ( Ubud style black rice pudding )

  • Gado Gado ( Steamed mixed vegetables, fried bean curd, bean cake, boiled egg, peanut sauce )
  • Soto Ayam (Clear chicken soup with noodles, white cabbage, boiled egg, bean sprout, tomato )
  • Mie Goreng ( Fried noodles with mixed vegetables, sambal and sauces )
  • Dadar Gulung ( Banana crepes with palm sugar syrup )

Asian Taste Menu ( IDR 500.000 )

  • Chinese Szechuan Salt and Pepper Squid Salad (Fried breaded Szechuan salt and pepper squid with julienne green mango, carrot, long bens, Asian herbs and Nuoc Cham dressing )
  • Sweet Corn and Mushroom Soup (Chinese style fresh sweet corn and mushroom )
  • Pad Thai (Stir fried rice noodles with chicken, prawn, vegetables, home made sauce )
  • Thai Style Banana Fritters ( Sesame seed, cinnamon powder, brown sugar, bread crumb, served with vanilla ice cream and palm sugar syrup)
